ICC Catechism Registration 2015

 

The I.C.C. Catechism Program this year will begin on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. 

 

• Classes are open only to students whose families are registered at and are regularly attending I.C.C.

• Classes will be taught by the I.C.C. priests and Fraternity of St. Peter seminarians.

• Classes will meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. from September 16, 2015 through April 20, 2016, with these exceptions:

  • In October, classes will meet Oct. 7 and 28

  • In January, classes will meet only Jan. 20

• There will be no Confirmations in 2016, since we can only have them every two years.

• In order to receive First Communion or First Confession at I.C.C., the child’s family must be attending I.C.C. a majority of the time (i.e. over 50% of Sundays and Holydays). This will be determined as of December 31, 2015, based upon Mass attendance during September through December. Families who have not met the attendance requirement during the Fall will be informed that they will not be able to receive the First Sacraments at I.C.C. in Spring, 2016.

 

Classes:
A  -  First Communion Preparation  -  Children ages 6+ years and will be 7 by 1st Communion
B  -  Primary School Catechism  -  Children having received 1st Communion but not Confirmation (class will be divided into sections based on age of enrollees)
D  -  High School Catechism  -  Children having been confirmed through high school graduation

Registration must be completed before your child(ren) may attend the first class.

In addition, any child wishing to receive First Communion this spring must have a baptismal certificate on file at I.C.C. before they can attend their first class.  If you are unsure whether there is a certificate on file here, please contact the office at or 402-342-1074.
