Sign-up for All Night Adoration at the Altar of Repose
Following the Mass of Holy Thursday the Blessed Sacrament is brought to the Altar or Repose and placed in the “Repository” which is an ornate tabernacle with a base. Traditionally, just one host for the priest on Good Friday was brought to the repository since Holy Communion was not received again after Holy Thursday until the Easter Vigil. While in the repository, the Blessed Sacrament is reverenced just as it is during Eucharistic Adoration and should be adored throughout the night and the next day until the Sacred Host is brought back to the altar at the end of the Good Friday liturgy.
There is a sign-up sheet in the back of the church for those who will generously come spend one hour with Our Lord that night. We need at least two volunteers for each time slot.
