Tomorrow ICC will hold its External Solemnity for Corpus Christi at the 10:00 am Mass. Please be aware of the following:
- The 7:00 am & 1:00 pm Masses will be of the Second Sunday after Pentecost.
- We will have exposition of the Blessed Sacrament starting at 9:15 am.
- All those serving the Mass, including simply in choir, should be present at 9:00 am to practice the procession.
- Following Holy Communion, this year’s First Communicants and all girls of the parish 8 and under are encouraged to gather in the back of the church to take baskets with flower petals for the procession.
- All the faithful are encouraged to bring flower petals for the procession.
- The order of the procession is Cross-bearer & Acolytes, then flower petals (joining when the procession reaches the back), followed by thurifers, the priest with the Monstrance & altar servers, followed by the choir, and finally the faithful.
- Hymns for the procession are available in the back of church. Please take a copy and sing during the procession.
- The final Benediction will be given when we return to the main altar in the church after two other stops.
- We will not have coffee and donuts but we will have Freeze Pops outside the front steps of the church.
- There are not vespers so that the faithful can also attend the other procession at 2:30 from Our Lady of Lourdes to St. Peter’s.
