Anniversary of the Dedication of Immaculate Conception Church

This Sunday, July 31, will mark the 96th Anniversary of the Dedication of Immaculate Conception. Our church, built in the Romanesque Revival style, replaced a much smaller chapel that dated back to 1897.
The Anniversary of the Dedication is celebrated as a First Class Feast, so this Sunday's Mass will be Terribilis est, the common of the Dedication of a Church.
It is a reminder each year of the sacrifices made by others who came before us to build such a beautiful and noble House of God and Gate of Heaven.
A plenary indulgence (under the usual conditions) is available this Sunday by visiting Immaculate Conception and reciting the Our Father and the Creed.
